Stringed Instruments

String instrument groups can be grouped under three main headings.

• Stringed Instruments Played with Tezene or Pena: These are instruments played with the vibration of the strings by pulling them up and down with auxiliary instruments such as plectrums or picks, guitar, electric guitar, baglama, oud, tambur, cümbüş, mandolin, zither, harp, tar, mandoloin, ukulele, banjo, balayka, berimbau, barbitos, cem, samisen  is in this group.

• Spring strings: usually the instrument removed by rubbing sound leads of the instrument by applying resin having bristles on the so-called spread of these instruments, there is no curtain generally of the following groups instrument violin, cello, cello, fiddle, pumpkin kemane are in these groups instrument

• Percussion stringed instruments: the sound is obtained at the appropriate frequency by hitting the strings with a hammer, the best example of this type of instrument is the Piano.
